Midnight Express

We didn't start this to chase trends. We started it because we believe in something. Midnight Express exists because we believe music deserves to be heard properly: in the right space, at the right volume, played by people who genuinely care. Music has shaped us. It has introduced us to people we'd never have found otherwise, opened our ears to things we weren't expecting, and given us a culture that makes life worth living. Everything we do is built around the dancefloor. DJ culture taught us that long before club nights had Instagram accounts. The dancefloor has always been where social barriers dissolve and a sense of freedom lives. We want to create that space. Somewhere people come together, bring friends, talk to strangers, dance to music, and leave having experienced something, not just attended something. We believe the music comes first. That the dancefloor is where real connection happens, to the people and to the place. We are serious about the music, not about ourselves, welcoming to anyone who feels the same. We are rooted in the nights that came before us. A local scene only survives if people invest in it. We want to build a reputation, for programming music that means something, for an event series with integrity, and for a room that anyone who's ever felt at home on a dancefloor can walk into and immediately understand. We want to contribute to the scene, supporting artists and creative endeavour where we can, building something that adds to what's already happening around us. It's time to dance.
