Sidelines continues on Friday 20 March with Phase 1.2. The sold-out show at St Mary’s Church will feature performances from Clementine March and Lei Hope alongside Bill Ryder-Jones. Lei’s warm, introspective and soulful grooves will set the tone for the evening, followed by Clementine’s emotive, melody-rich songwriting, before Bill closes the night with a rare piano and four-track set in the church. Beyond St Mary’s, sidelines once again expands into Little Underbank and Hilton House. At PINK, a special After Hours event will transform their new exhibition My Hat and My Other Hat by artist Caz Egelie into a late-night performance space for one night only, featuring live sets from EYVE and Dr Mystery, alongside DJ sets from Menu Menu and Atalaya. Meanwhile, SK1 Records hosts Mari Kimura (Gondwana Records), Andy Votel, and Brain & Bone in their new store — a space long embedded in Stockport’s musical fabric, now with a new home and plenty of room for a proper boogie. Both SK1 Records and PINK are free entry and open to everyone (no ticket required), though capacity is limited so early arrival is advised. Ticket holders for the St Mary’s show are warmly invited to join the befores and afters as Phase 1.2 continues to explore what a new music festival for Stockport can look like.
