By implementing the Meta pixel correctly, you will be able to properly measure the effectiveness of your campaigns across the Meta platform. In this guide we'll show you how to add your Meta pixel to your Evntree landing page and run campaigns which track conversions.

The Meta pixel integration is only available to Evntree customers on a paid plan. Upgrade your account to gain access.

Creating your business manager

To be able to create a Meta pixel and run conversion campaigns, you will first need to create your Business Portfolio. If you already have a Business Portfolio with an ad account setup, you can skip this step.

Creating a pixel

To create or access your pixel, navigate to the Events Manager while in the Business Manager.

If you already have a pixel, you can copy its ID as we'll need this later.

If not, then in the left sidebar, navigate to Business Settings. You should now see a different menu layout. Under Data sources select Datasets, then the blue Add button to create a new pixel.

Add in the name of your pixel and make sure to select Meta pixel and Conversions API. You can then close the popup and save your pixel ID.

Whitelisting pixel domains

Although rare, you may want to protect your pixel from firing on other websites, in the case that somebody adds your pixel to their website. To do this, you can set up a whitelist of allowed domains.

To begin, go to Data Sources, find your pixel and click on Settings. Then scroll down to the Traffic Permissions - websites section, and Create Allow List.

Add in your domain then click confirm.

Now only domains in this whitelist can send pixel traffic to Meta.

Conversions API with Stape

The Meta Conversions API allows businesses to send web events from their servers directly to Meta. This helps improve the accuracy of tracking and measuring conversions, even if browser-based tracking is blocked or limited. By using the Conversions API, you can better understand the actions people take on your website and optimize your ad campaigns for more effective results.

We recommend using Stape to implement the Conversions API, more specifically their Meta Conversions API Gateway Hosting product. The cost is $10 per pixel per month. Once you have created an account, you can follow the steps in their setup guide.

Using Stape can result in 13% cost per action improvement and 7% increase in the lead to sale conversion rate when using the Conversions API with lead ads.

Adding to your Evntree page

While creating or editing a landing page on Evntree, navigate to the Tracking tab and add your pixel ID into the input for Meta Pixel.

Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension

To check your pixel is installed correctly on the Evntree page and the correct events are firing, you can install the Meta Pixel Helper for Chrome.

Once added to Chrome, you will see an icon in your extensions. Reload your Evntree page and you should see your pixel ID.

Pixel events

On your Evntree page, the Meta pixel will fire two events.

PageView - for every visitor that lands on the page.

CompleteRegistration - for every visitor that successfully registers.

These events can be used as the Conversion event when setting up campaigns and also be used to create audiences in Meta.

Creating a conversion campaign

Now your pixel is set up, your are ready to create a campaign. Navigate to the Ads Manager and create a new campaign with the Sales objective.

In the Ad Set, you can now select your pixel and select the Complete Registration conversion event.

Once you have completed the rest of your campaign setup and your campaign begins delivering, you will see Complete Registration metrics start to show.
